Visit Europe: Malta
I didn’t take my camera on this trip, just my phone. Malta is a small country that has English as a second language, so it’s a good Mediterranean country to visit. Although it is expensive. Links are provided to locations where possible.
St Paul’s Bay: Malta (January 2026)
My husband and I are heavy on visiting a warmer country in January, in the middle of the cold and dark UK winter, as our mood drops and we need some sunshine! Anyway, there happened to be a massive storm, so it wasn’t as pleasant as we had hoped. This trip wasn’t a holiday as such, since I had assignments to write and he had work, we just needed to get out, so it was a simple trip for 5 days. We didn’t do an awful lot, since it wasn’t a vacation…
We stayed in St Paul’s Bayand had a walk around the city after working all day, and saw some salt pans.
We visited a temple: Hagar Qim and Mnajara World Heritage Centreto see the old temple.
We visited Medina, the silent city and bought some Medina glass.
We had a lovely Maltese meal at Ta Cassia Calinarestaurant
I hope that if you’re looking for some travel inspiration, you have found some! <3
